Knipping Automotive Launches New Complex in Tlaxcala with $310M MXN Investment

Knipping Automotive has begun expanding its operations in Ciudad Industrial Xicohténcatl (CIX) in Huamantla, Tlaxcala, with a 310 million peso investment.
The German company, specializing in the production of thermoplastic components for the automotive industry, supplies major clients such as Volkswagen and Audi.
This expansion project is expected to create 213 direct jobs in the region.
Hugo Ruíz Velázquez, Knipping’s General Director, emphasized that the company has witnessed steady growth and achievements in the eight years it has been operating in the state. “With hardworking Mexican–Tlaxcalan people, we have accomplished these results we celebrate today,” he stated.
He also acknowledged the efforts of government authorities in attracting more investments to Tlaxcala.
Parag Shah, Knipping Automotive’s Chief Executive Officer, added, “This marks another step forward in our journey toward excellence,” while extending his appreciation for the support from the state and municipal governments, as well as from both the public and private sectors.
Javier Marroquín Calderón, Tlaxcala’s Secretary of Economic Development, remarked that this expansion is a significant milestone for the state’s industrial growth.
“A safe state means continued investment, economic growth, and more formal employment opportunities,” he said.
The event was attended by key executives, including CEOs Thomas Greiner Adam and Jochen Lichtner; Luz María Calva Pimentel, Secretary of the Huamantla Municipality; and Haide Gisela Lucero Zepeda, General Manager of the Ciudad Industrial Xicohténcatl Trust (Fidecix), along with the Knipping team.
