Norcast inaugurated its new plant in the municipality of Torreón, Coahuila, dedicated to the production of high-precision aluminum injection parts for the metal-mechanical industry. The facility represents an investment of MXN 650 million and will generate more than 400 direct jobs, strengthening the company’s presence in northern Mexico.

Industrial expansion and business confidence

During the ceremony, José Francisco Clariond, CEO of Norcast, explained that the new facility will manufacture high-specification aluminum components through high-pressure injection and CNC machining processes for sectors such as renewable energy, home appliances, lighting, and advanced manufacturing. He emphasized that the decision to open a second plant stemmed from the confidence inspired by Coahuila’s stability and security.

Growing industrial ecosystem

Luis Olivares Martínez, State Secretary of Economy, stated that Norcast’s arrival reflects the certainty and industrial vision that characterize the region. “We thank Norcast’s leadership for trusting our people, for investing in Torreón, and for joining this thriving ecosystem we are building together,” he said.

Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas added that Coahuila will close 2025 with approximately MXN 150 billion in total investment from over 110 national and foreign projects. He highlighted that employment is “the most powerful tool for our people to move forward” and reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining security as the foundation of economic growth.

The governor also emphasized that Coahuila remains the second-safest state in Mexico, a key factor in attracting new industrial projects. “We will continue working to fully safeguard our state,” he affirmed.

The ceremony was attended by Luz Elena Morales Núñez, President of the Coahuila Congress Board of Governors; Roberto Clariond Castañeda, CEO of Movimiento Moderno Mexicano; Marcelo Valdés Quintanilla, Director of Economic Development for Torreón; Alberto Lozano, Norcast Plant Manager; Emmanuel Moreno, Norcast Vice President; and Jesús Fernández Aranzabal, CEO of Global Park.
