Emerson announces double investment in Coahuila; manufacture compressors for air conditioning

The Emerson company announced that it will make a double investment in the state of Coahuila: one for the expansion of its facilities in Ramos Arizpe and the other for the construction of a new plant in the municipality of Arteaga.
René Cabrera, Emerson's director of operations in Mexico , said that the expansion of its Ramos Arizpe factory –in approximately 10,000 square feet– will be to increase its production capacity, which currently stands at 10 million motors. for compressor per year.
In addition, he commented on the start of construction of a new plant in the municipality of Arteaga, where they will be producing scroll type compressors to complement their operations in the assembly of the residential and commercial air conditioning system.
The executive stressed that Coahuila has highly trained personnel, which is why it was an important factor in trusting the region again as a destination for its operations.
Likewise, he explained that the territorial extension of the new industrial warehouse will reach 50,000 square feet and 500 people will be employed; however, they hope that in their last stage they will reach 1,200 jobs directly between both plants.
"The company made a deep analysis, we reviewed all the points to finalize the new project in the state and in this way we prepare ourselves to be able to meet the demand that is growing in the refrigeration industry," he commented.
René Cabrera concluded that this investment will strengthen the production capacity of the brand in the region, which is why they consider that the metropolitan area of the Southeast Region is a strategic point for their activities, for which they hope to continue adding new projects in the coming years. .
PROGRESS IN JOB CREATION AND INVESTMENT ATTRACTION
Claudio Bres Garza, head of the Ministry of Economy , shared that up to the month of October, 52,000 jobs had been produced in the state according to the figures provided by the Mexican Institute of Social Security.
This fact placed Coahuila as the sixth most competitive entity in labor matters at the national level; Likewise, he highlighted that the data is more relevant, since it is a higher growth than that of eight entities in the country.
The manager took the opportunity to announce that more investments in Monclova and Torreón will be announced in the coming weeks to continue producing formal jobs for the Coahuila population.
