Zoho CEO Explores Expansion Plans in McAllen, Texas

Sridhar Vembu, CEO of Zoho, and Tony Thomas, co-founder of this global technology leader, visited McAllen to review details of their upcoming expansion project in the city.
Through a meeting with members of the McAllen Economic Development Corporation (McAllen EDC), and Mayor Javier Villalobos, the presence of Zoho in McAllen was emphasized to boost economic development and the creation of new specialized jobs in the technology industry for residents of South Texas.
Corporate Presence
"The talent of the workforce attracted them to McAllen, and we are excited that the city is part of their corporate presence in North America," reported McAllen EDC.
The meeting included Keith Patridge, CEO of McAllen EDC, and Ralph Garcia, Vice President of International Business Recruitment at McAllen EDC. Michelle Rivera, Assistant City Manager, represented the McAllen City Manager's office.
Optimal Services
McAllen EDC highlighted the great collaboration team formed with city representatives to ensure optimal conditions and services, as well as streamlining procedures for all companies interested in locating in McAllen.
"In collaboration with the city, Mayor Javier Villalobos shared an overview of the highlights in McAllen and emphasized that as a community, we are here to help companies like Zoho grow in the area."
They added, "This is part of a joint effort to provide the best opportunities for the residents of McAllen."
