Ziemann Holvrieka, a German company renowned for its expertise in designing, engineering, and constructing liquid control plants, has initiated the construction of its new facility in Coahuila, Mexico, with an investment of $29 million. Situated in Ramos Arizpe within the Chuy María Industrial Park, the plant will span 48,000 square meters, with 6,000 dedicated to manufacturing.
Klaus Gehrig, the company's CEO, highlighted the strategic decision to establish the plant in Coahuila, emphasizing its advantageous geographical location and connectivity to major commercial hubs. This strategic positioning will streamline logistics for serving the national, U.S., and Canadian markets.
Gehrig emphasized Ziemann Holvrieka's longstanding presence in Mexico, spanning over 40 years, and its collaboration with various industries across different states. He underscored the significance of the Ramos Arizpe plant in producing tanks and storage equipment for esteemed clients such as Constellation Brands, Heineken, José Cuervo, and Jumex.
Gehrig outlined the company's market strategy, focusing on directly serving the national market from the new plant rather than importing products from neighboring countries. He expressed confidence in the efficiency of Mexican labor to help achieve the corporation's objectives.
Fernando Canales, Ziemann Holvrieka's General Director in Mexico, provided insights into the operational timeline, stating that the plant will commence operations in November, with pilot tests scheduled for September. He hinted at the possibility of a second construction phase in 2025, contingent upon regional performance.
Water and Energy Sustainability
Canales elaborated on the company's global sustainability initiatives, particularly in water conservation and the use of photovoltaic energy. They propose various strategies to clients for optimizing resource usage, including solar panels and hot water recirculation systems to reduce gas consumption.
Moreover, Canales highlighted the environmental commitment of the new factory, with plans to cover the entire roof with solar panels, aiming for energy autonomy and enhanced environmental friendliness.
