Yura Corporation announces a $46.2 million investment and the creation of 1,000 new jobs during the groundbreaking ceremony.


  1. Yura Corporation has revealed a significant expansion initiative with a $46.2 million investment, promising to generate 1,000 new jobs. The Coahuila-based complex specializes in manufacturing components for electric vehicles and serves global companies such as Volvo, Honda, and Stellantis.


Munhyeong Lee, director of Yura EVC, extended a warm welcome to the representatives of the company, particularly Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas, expressing gratitude for his unwavering support.


He explained that the project, initiated in January 2023, reflects a substantial commitment of time, effort, and financial resources. Additionally, the company is gearing up for another expansion related to Honda, scheduled for completion by late 2025.


Economic Development


Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas highlighted economic development as a top priority for his administration, emphasizing its equitable distribution across all regions of Coahuila.


"In Torreón, we announce the new $46.2 million investment by Yura EVC, set to create over 1,000 new jobs, including roles for technicians and engineers in computer and electronics. Through the Coahuila Global initiative, we will continue to pursue more development opportunities for our people in La Laguna," he emphasized.


New Investments


The state leader also teased upcoming announcements of new investments related to the automotive industry and nearshoring. He revealed plans for economic missions to Asia, Europe, and the United States in the coming weeks.


The event saw the presence of notable figures such as Verónica Martínez García, Senator of the Republic; Luis Eduardo Olivares Martínez, Director of the Office of Economic Promotion and Tourism ProCoahuila; José Antonio Gutiérrez Jardón, Federal Deputy; Claudio Bres Garza, Secretary of Economy of Coahuila; Eduardo Olmos Castro, Secretary of Regional Development in La Laguna; Dong Hoon Min, Director of Yura Corporation Mexico; Blas José Flores González, Chief of Staff; among others.
