Webasto inaugurates its third plant in Guanajuato; will produce mobile chargers for electric cars

The Webasto corporate opened its third plant in the Vymsa Industrial Park , Guanajuato, where they will manufacture mobile chargers for electric cars and the installation equipment for them.

The Webasto Charging GTO plant has an area of ​​11,257 square meters and a surplus of 10,409 square meters. For this 2023 they will have an investment of extra equipment for around 5.5 million dollars, they currently employ 164 employees and will close with 239 this year.

It has five production lines , three for generation one mobile chargers, and two more for the manufacture of components.

By the end of 2023, the organization expects to have one more line for generation one and two more for the product in version two.

For 2024, an investment of an additional 7 million dollars is expected with an increase to 403 employees and the installed capacity will increase to reach 3.4 million units, for the national and international market.

While in 2025, they will have a new expansion until reaching 21,166 square meters of construction and 460 employees and 3.6 million units.
