Wabtec Corporation starts operations of its Plant IV in Arteaga

Wabtec Corporation started operations of Plant IV in Arteaga, Coahuila, and in which they invested more than 7 million dollars .

At the start of this expansion, Eder Campos, general manager of this factory, explained that the Arteaga Plant will have a 100% increase in personnel from its 300 formal jobs, and will strengthen the manufacture of cabins for locomotives and mining trucks .

In addition, this company carries out three main processes: Manufacturing, assembly, welding and painting, which are part of the manufacture of metal cabins for mining locomotives and trucks, exporting 100% to the United States and other countries.

Currently, Wabtec Corporation has a presence in more than 50 countries, where they employ more than 25,000 collaborators worldwide.

The State Secretary of Economy, Claudio Bres Garza, highlighted the coordinated work carried out with the municipalities and the private sector to generate development opportunities for the benefit of families.

He pointed out that Coahuila has the necessary guarantees to attract investments, as well as the expansion and growth of companies, since it has the legal framework, security, labor peace, tranquility, the rule of law, competitiveness, infrastructure and the skilled labor.

The event was also attended by Michael Bratt, Vice President of Operations at Wabtec ; Nazira Zogbi Castro, Secretary of Labor of Coahuila; Mario Enrique Morales Rodríguez, Secretary General of the CROC Coahuila; Dough McCain, Finance Director of Wabtec, and Arturo Mendel, representative of the Mencorsa Industrial Park .
