Vishay opens fourth plant in Juárez

The Vishay i company inaugurated its plant number four in the Parque Industrial Las Torres in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, hand in hand with the developer Vesta, generating 700 new direct jobs.
"The industrial sector knows what it means to have a certainty and a good investment in security, for which it represents the improvement in the link and in the transfer of goods and merchandise between Mexico and the United States," said Óscar Ibáñez Hernández, representative of Northern State Government.
The undersecretary of government representation said that the investment of the Sentinel Platform will substantially improve protection and prevention technology for the city.
“This type of investment puts the city on another level of automation because the industrial vocation of the city is migrating and changing and the governments are also having that change evolution, adapting to the environment to continue promoting the development of our city” he pointed out.
He stressed that the sustainability of industrial development requires good urban and social infrastructure, quality of life and educational development.
He also pointed out that this new maquiladora plant is surrounded by several educational establishments that finally train personnel in response to the demand for economic development that is occurring in the southeast of the city.
The official stressed that, over a period of six years, Vesta has invested 190 million dollars in this border, having a portfolio of clients including Lear, Grupo Modelo, EP Logistics, Herman, Pepsi , among others.
Vishay has investments in 193 properties in 15 states of the Mexican Republic and its clients operate in various industries, including aerospace, automotive, food and beverage, logistics, medical devices and plastics, among others.
