TSR invests 8 million dollars employing 130 people on their maximum work curve
In a friendly ceremony that strenghts the relationship between Mexico and South Korea, started the construction of the new plant Taesung Rubber (TSR,) dedicated to the production of rubber pieces for transmission systems, suspension, braking and engine, which for start will invest 8 million dollars.
The president of TSR, Min Hyuk Lee, together with the government of the State, Miguel Angel Riquelme Solis, gave the first symbolic shovel for the start of the construction of the Saltillo plant, located in the Amistad Poniente Industrial Corridor.
The new plant, dedicated to the automotive activity, will start operations in January 2019 and will generate directly 130 new formal jobs. It provides companies as Mando, KDAC, CTR and Mobis among others.
At his speech, Hyuk Lee exhibited that since the beginning of the company in 1967 they have supplied pieces for antivibration vehicles, and that the future of TSR Mexico starts from today with the foundation stone of the Saltillo plant, where it will grow in investment and more jobs in a medium term.
With the production they will serve the Korean Mando, although they expect to grow the customer’s portfolio in the area. They are the only ones managing these materials. He explained that from the total of production in Korea 45 % goes to exportation.
On his message, the state
official noted that TSR arrives to a safe territory, of friendly treat, with
the highest formality, competitiveness and labor peace.
“You are arriving to strengthen the automotive cluster in Coahuila, which is one of the most important in Mexico; in 2017 had a total production of more than 600 thousand vehicles and more than 82 thousand heavy cargo vehicles,” he explained.
He said that the State is the hostess o the best assembler brands worldwide, such as General Motors, Fiat-Chrysler and Daimler, like 35 of the most recognized brand worldwide are in Coahuila.

strengthens the productive relationship we have had with Korea, a nation we
admire, with a prosperity and growth culture based in the values it shares with

projects that open different markets a reality and create new development
routes for industrial development,” said Riquelme Solis.
