Coahuila Attracts Investments: SIP Mieleras Boosts Industrial Hosting

In a recent development, the 62nd investment for 2023 was unveiled in Coahuila, marking a continuous influx of economic prosperity to the region. Surman Industrial Park (SIP) Mieleras is set to inject approximately 750 million pesos into the industrial hosting sector in the Metropolitan Area of La Laguna.

SIP Mieleras is poised to accommodate businesses from diverse sectors, backed by essential high-quality and efficient infrastructure investments. The space will feature a 48-megawatt electrical substation, natural gas supply, potable and treated water, private water wells, and fiber optic connectivity. A 24-hour closed-circuit surveillance system will also be implemented.

Unlike other projects, Surman Industrial Park (SIP) Mieleras already boasts basic infrastructure, including a perimeter wall, entrance arch, access booth, and concrete roads. The construction of the first speculative industrial warehouse, spanning 15,000 square meters, is currently underway and is expected to house the first company in the coming weeks.

In terms of employment, 42,033 jobs have been generated in the first nine months of 2023. With 62 investments already announced and more on the horizon, Coahuila continues to solidify its position as an attractive destination for investment and economic growth.

Governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís highlighted the economic growth the region has experienced and its significance for various industries. The development of SIP Mieleras is a phased project covering 338 hectares. The first phase, comprising 120 hectares, will be inaugurated with an investment of 750 million pesos.

The investment announcement was attended by Verónica Martínez García, Senator of the Republic; Hassan Mansur González, Director General of SIP; Miguel Ángel Ramírez López, Mayor of Matamoros; Javier Torres Izaguirre, Director of Milwaukee Tool, and representatives from chambers of commerce and business organizations.
