Quintana Roo Leads Industrial Growth, According to IMAIEF 2023

Quintana Roo continues to stand out as a consistent leader in growth throughout 2023, according to the Monthly Indicator of Industrial Activity by Federal Entity (IMAIEF). The study, conducted by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), reported that Quintana Roo maintains its position as the growth leader, with growth exceeding 200% in the latest measurement in July.
According to IMAEF, in the seventh month of 2023, on an annual basis and with seasonally adjusted series, the states that showed the most significant increases in industrial production, in real terms, were Quintana Roo (242%); San Luis Potosí (31.8%); Aguascalientes (29.8%); Oaxaca and Colima (21.9% and 21.7%, respectively).
Notable Increases
With original data on an annual basis, in July of this year, the mining sector reported notable increases in Colima, Tabasco, Baja California, Quintana Roo, and Querétaro. Regarding the generation, transmission, distribution, and commercialization of electricity, water supply, and natural gas through pipelines to the final consumer, increases were prominent in Colima, Mexico, Campeche, and Aguascalientes.
Highest Advances
In the construction sector, the most significant increases occurred in Quintana Roo, Campeche, Oaxaca, and Durango. In manufacturing industries, the highest advances were recorded in San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes, Sonora, and Yucatán.
The most significant growth began to be recorded since May with 140.4%, June with 231.1%, and July with 242%, reflecting this sustained increase.
