Pilgrims will promote the economic development of the Central Region of Coahuila

Pilgrims announced that it will promote two projects in the Central Region of Coahuila to increase its presence in the state. 

The company will allocate 12 million dollars to the North Pilgrims Project, which will generate 140 direct jobs and more than 300 indirect ones. 

Likewise, according to Arturo Madero Sordo, sharecropper investment partner, 16 rearing chicken houses will be built that will have state-of-the-art technology, help the welfare of the birds and guarantee the quality of their products. 

"I want to highlight this investment because it is historic for the area made up of the municipalities of Cuatrociénegas and Ocampo, in this way we will benefit the inhabitants of this sector with the generation of new jobs," said the manager. 

He also stated that this project will be developed in synergy with JBS, the largest protein company in the world.

In the context of the JBS company, Madero Sordo highlighted it as the second largest food producer in the world, with 230,000 employees worldwide and the ability to serve more than 350,000 customers in 190 countries. 

COMMITTED TO SUSTAINABILITY 

The manager pointed out that in addition to the investment, which will help them produce 50 million chickens per week throughout the country, they will also make an additional 10 million pesos for the installation and generation of photovoltaic energy.

In this way, he said that it will be guaranteed that 100% of the energy consumption in the booths that will be installed and in other operations will be clean and renewable. 

“We want to be leaders in this area. We want to share in the fight against climate change and be a company totally committed to caring for the environment”, she pointed out. 

Lastly, Arturo Madero shared that the organization has invested in training and education programs to create highly qualified personnel and thus be able to carry out its specialized processes without any problem.
