Pharr boosts Mexican investment with its outstanding First Business Summit

Advantages of Investing in Pharr, Texas
With the objective of attracting investment and publicizing the opportunities offered to Mexican businessmen by the city of Pharr, Texas , the City's Economic Development Corporation, headed by its president and executive director, Víctor Pérez, held its first Summit of Businesses in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.
“This summit was done to attract investors, people who want to open their businesses in Pharr, who know what's up. We have good properties and incentives. We know that Monterrey is one of the places that will grow the most and will benefit a lot from nearshoring , and we want to be part of that, so that if they come here, they can also go to the city of Pharr and the Valley," he commented. Víctor Pérez at the end of the event.
He assured that he is satisfied with this meeting and announced that they are already planning another summit of this type in Mexico City, possibly to take place in October 2023.
Nearshoring and investment opportunities
The event, which brought together different businessmen, mainly from the northeast of Mexico, was attended by specialists from the entire Valley of Texas region , who provided guidance on different topics to establish businesses in Pharr.
Among the presentations, both the softlanding tools were discussed , given by the lawyer Patricio Belden Saro, from the Cachauex, Cavazos & Newton Law Firm ; such as assistance to form companies, market knowledge, legal advice, business licenses and permits, among others.
A core issue was nearshoring , by customs agent Everardo Sustaita, from Sustaita Logistics Center LP , who spoke about its advantages, but above all about the challenges that Mexico faces so that this phenomenon continues to promote foreign investment in the country.
Among these challenges, he said, are the increase in infrastructure, investing more in systems and processes and streamlining government efforts.
Advised on visas for investors, businessmen and workers, with the immigration lawyer Benjamín J. Schatz, from Foster LLP, US & Global Immigration Services ; and applicable taxes in the United States, with the accountant Joel Fernández Burton, of McCumber & Longoria.
The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley also participated , with the theme of business consulting and resources for international companies; and IBC Bank , with a talk regarding banking practices and financial services, who finished the day.
