Nuevo Laredo Airport leads nationwide with 68.7% cargo growth

The International Airport of Nuevo Laredo in Tamaulipas has reported an impressive 68.7% growth in cargo volumes moved from January to November 2023, securing its position as the top-performing airport nationally within the Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares (ASA) network.
Over these 11 months, the airport handled a total of 27,003 kilograms of merchandise, a substantial increase from the 16,011 kilograms reported during the same period in 2022. "In terms of air cargo mobilized within the ASA airport network, a total of four million 705,713 kilograms were recorded. The International Airport of Nuevo Laredo leads this growth to and from airports within the network," stated ASA in an official press release.
Leading Across the Board
The airport's performance extends beyond cargo, as it has consistently topped the charts in operations, passenger services, and trade throughout 2023.
For instance, in air operations, there was a 20.4% growth from January to November, with the number of recorded operations increasing from 2,313 to 2,786.
Enhanced Connectivity
In passenger services, a remarkable 91.4% increase was noted, with a reported 179,726 users in contrast to the 93,899 passengers in 2022. "The commitment to consolidating more and better services for increased air connectivity, new flights, and frequency enhancements remains steadfast," concluded ASA.
