The Canadian company Nova Steel increased its competitiveness in Coahuila by inaugurating its third production plant in the municipality of Ramos Arizpe.
The factory is located in the Santa María Industrial Park and will have a land area of 16,000 square meters.
In this context, Mario Campos, general manager of the company, highlighted that they foresee a potential expansion of 15,000 square meters that will allow them to double their production.
Nova Steel is dedicated to the transformation of steel to produce metal structures and tubular products for the automotive industry; however, in the region they also have processes to manufacture railway products and to equip the production lines of the assembly plants that exist in the state and in the country.
“Ramos Arizpe has established itself as the industrial heart of the north due to the recent investments it has received; In addition, now its location will become another attraction due to the installation of Tesla in Nuevo León, which will surely leave a good economic benefit in this entire sector, ”said the manager.
Likewise, he reiterated that its production processes are located in Coahuila, which serve to serve the national and international market, since he pointed out that in the last 12 years the brand has been able to grow 700 percent.
This project required an investment of 37 million dollars , so it will help generate 70 new jobs directly, which will be added to the 350 that already exist.
“Currently, we produce 90,000 to 100,000 tons of tubular products at our three plants. Each one has different processes; on plant 1 we have our service center for the manufacture of raw materials; 2 railway products are in the plant and in this new plant they will be customized metallic structures for the automotive sector”.
Finally, Mauricio Campos thanked the state authorities for their support for giving them all the help possible to carry out this project and assured that they will continue to cooperate with the generation of jobs in the area.
