New industrial park to be built in Leon

With an investment of 35 million started the construction of the Leon Parquesur Industrial Park located in the highway Los Ramirez km 2.5, which will be intended to the automotive and logic sector.

Regarding this, Juan Arturo Torres Landa Garcia, investment partner, said that this new project located in the southern part of the city, will serve companies arriving to the entity with a projection of 5 thousand jobs.

He explained that this industrial complex will measure 300 hectares and will be done in two stages; 136 lots will be enabled which will occupy an extension of 148 hectares, this is, almost 50 % of the total territory.

He added that the first results of the Park construction will be reflected within the first six months, in which services from the same park will be concluded also those are avenues, streets and perimeter fence.

“When the construction is finished, we will be focusing in the lots and in marketing them, we already found some applicants, but we cannot give names, still,” he noted.

He announced that although the Park is focused to automotive companies, they are not closed to other company being interest in acquired a land to settle their production plant.

He underlined that one characteristic that defines this Park from others, is that they will be careful about any arriving company implement a clean and of social responsibility company program­, this aimed to contribute to the reduction of contamination resulting from the industry in Guanajuato.

Likewise, he explained that it is estimated that within a year the first sales stage will be concluded.

Meanwhile Gustavo Garcia Mena, director of the project underlined the effort and dedication invested to fulfill and comply the standards on time.  Likewise he recognized the support provided by public authorities for Guanajuato businessmen.

Guillermo Romero Pacheco, secretary of Economic and Sustainable Development (SDES, by its Spanish initials) recognized the commitment of Guanajuato businessmen in betting on projects that will trigger and contribute to the economic development of the entity in new commercial areas. 

“Today, we are verifying that also our investors in Guanajuato have that vision, that they are taking the risk, betting on Leon, to Guanajuato, because these projects are in medium and long term, this projects need a vision, constancy and mainly passion as they have shown us,” he ended
