Mayor of McAllen strengthens ties with Tamaulipas and Nuevo León

As part of the work meetings to improve productivity, attract new investment and promote economic development between the border of Tamaulipas and Nuevo León with Texas, the mayor of the city of McAllen, Javier Villalobos, participated in various activities in recent days from Mexico, such as the creation of agreements, tourist visits and promotion, as well as the opening of the Reynosa 2023 Index Forum.
In Nuevo León, the elder attended the signing of a memorandum of understanding in the city of Guadalupe with McAllen to promote cultural and educational exchanges and reinforce the cooperative relationship in general.
Villalobos highlighted the presence of 17 industrial parks, in the company of Mayor Cristina Díaz. Both agreed that the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) is a single region between the border territory that the state shares with Tamaulipas in Mexico, and Texas in the United States.
While, in Tamaulipas, he went to the city of Tampico, where he was the guest of honor at the inauguration of new tourist attractions.
In a meeting and tours with the mayor Jesús Nader, expressed the importance of promoting the arrival of Texan tourists to this city, developing joint programs of economic development and recreation, as well as encouraging an air connection between McAllen and Tampico.
In the same state, but in the city of Reynosa, he attended the inauguration of the Reynosa 2023 Index Forum , whose purpose is to promote the attraction of new investments, consolidate the presence of manufacturing industries and supply services.
In the company of the Governor of Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal Anaya, the mayor of the city, Carlos Víctor Peña Ortiz, the Secretary of Economic Development , Ninfa Cantú Deándar, and other members of the Tamaulipas cabinet, the binational relationship was reinforced to attract new investments and consolidate to established companies.
