Liddell places the first stone of its second plant in Coahuila

Liddell , a company of Mexican origin, celebrated the laying of the first stone for the construction of its plant in Monclova , Coahuila, which represents an extension of the activities carried out in its factory in Castaños, Coahuila.
The company, which belongs to the metal-mechanic sector, made an investment of three million dollars in its first stage , so it will produce 300 new jobs directly and will have a land area of 9.5 hectares.
In this sense, Jesús Gil Benavides, general director of Liddell , said that they have invested little by little in the region and that thanks to that they have grown with good results.
He commented that among the factors that determined to choose Coahuila, was that the entity offers security, legal certainty and a qualified workforce.
"I want to thank the authorities for their support because thanks to their efforts the birth of this plant was possible and that commits us to continue participating in the development of the area."
On the other hand, the manager added that in this new plant they will produce trailers and concrete plants and highlighted that the investments of large companies that have been raised in recent years in the city of Monclovense, as is the case of FreightCar America, promoted the international cluster of railway cars, as well as the Trinity and Gunderson brands.
Finally, Claudio Bres Garza, head of the Coahuila Ministry of Economy , thanked the Liddell executives for their confidence in investing in the state and added that, so far in 2023, there are already 31 companies that place their trust in the entity.
