With a 1.2 billion pesos investment, LG Electronics has begun operations at its new plant in the Santa María Industrial Park in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, specializing in the production of automotive audio, video, and navigation system components.

During the inauguration, Ana Carolina Cano, head of LG Electronics’ Human Resources team, acknowledged the support and guidance of government institutions throughout the project’s development.

“In the rapidly evolving automotive industry, LG is poised to be a market leader in advanced mobility solutions for electric vehicles. We leverage LG’s technological expertise, built over decades in consumer electronics, to deliver the most innovative products and solutions to our clients,” Cano stated.

According to Coahuila’s Governor, Manolo Jiménez Salinas, Coahuila has solidified its position as a key hub for Mexico's automotive industry.

He highlighted Coahuila’s leadership in internal combustion and electric vehicle production, as well as in auto parts manufacturing, further increasing the region’s appeal for new investments in the sector.

“Companies established here achieve successful operations, and the continuous arrival of new investments is proof of that,” Jiménez said during the event.

Ramos Arizpe’s Mayor, José María Morales Padilla, noted that this is the eleventh company to set up operations in the municipality under the current state administration. Morales emphasized the economic growth and industrial development of the region, spurred by the arrival of internationally renowned companies.

The event was also attended by LG executives Hyosu Shin and Sung Hoon Kim; local legislator Edna Dávalos Elizondo; incoming Ramos Arizpe Mayor Tomás Gutiérrez Merino; Víctor Mohamar of Grupo DAVISA; Luis Olivares Martínez, Secretary of Economy; and Sofía Teresa Delgadillo Díaz, Director of Economic and Tourism Promotion Pro Coahuila.
