Laboratorios Liomont opens new plant in EdoMex

The recently opened plant is the first one of this company in the Estado de Mexico territory, in addition of being one of the most modern in the pharmaceutical sector nationwide, and 100 % environmental friendly, since it is equipped with electric self-generation technology, solar energy panels and a water treatment plant.

Liomont has forefront technology to produce advanced medication such as sterile
products, vaccines and biotechnological developments, which confirms Liomont
leadership in creating last generation therapies.
On this first stage were invested 965 million pesos, generating thus, a total of 50 job sources.
Alfredo Rimoch Lewinberg, general director of Laboratorios Liomont, explained that this company has the eighth place within the national pharmaceutical industry and is the third more prescribed company in the country; it has 14 consecutive years being recognized as a Socially Responsible company and it is on 42th place within the best companies to work in Mexico.
Laboratorios Liomont is a Mexican company that celebrated 80 years for operation in 2018, it is present in 17 countries and produces more than 40 million units.
Estado de Mexico has the second place in the country in added value of the pharmaceutical industry, by contributing with more than 10 thousand 500 million pesos, what represents 30 % of the total sector and almost three percent of the state production.
Almost 20 % of pharmaceutical sector employees are in Estado de Mexico; moreover between 1999 and 2018 the entity was the third receptor of foreign direct investment of this industry, with 11 % of the national total, equal to 970 million dollars.
