Jiahua Chemical confirms an investment of 20 million dollars for the construction of its plant in Coahuila

Jiahua Chemical announced the construction of its new plant in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, which will represent an investment of 20 million dollars and will begin operations at the beginning of 2024.

The objective of the Chinese company is to be able to supply polyurethane inputs to the automotive industry market , with an important presence in Mexico.

Tymothy Madden, CEO for America of Jiahua Industry , explained that the company produces 1.6 million tons of polyurethane supplies per year , has eight plants and two distribution centers, mainly in Asia and Europe; and for the research and development of products of biological origin, carbon negative products and rigid biofoams for the automotive industry.

This investment announcement was made during the UTECH Las Américas 2023 event , which was held at the Citibanamex Center in Mexico City, where representatives of the polyurethane industry presented innovations in materials and processes within the sector.

The exhibition highlighted the participation of companies such as Productos Eiffel , 100% Mexican and a pioneer in the development of high-quality polyurethane systems. It is the only national systems house that offers polyurethane for all types of applications in the industry.

Química Sagitario , specialized in the commercialization and distribution of high-performance products for different industries in the Mexican and Central American markets, with international alliances that provide solutions for the manufacture and transformation of polyurethane.

BASF Mexicana presented during the exhibition a wide range of polymers for various applications, from elastomer foams to adhesives and coatings. These are highly versatile materials that have multiple applications in industry.

Honeywell Automotive de México showcased solutions for the industry with an environmental focus, such as Solstice blowing agents , which allow compliance with new energy efficiency plans, while offering the possibility of reducing costs and protecting the environment.

Carpenter Company has been one of the world's leading producers of polyols, flexible foam and formulated polyurethane systems for 60 years. During UTECH Las Américas 2023 , it offered solutions for the commercial, domestic and transportation refrigeration industry, as well as maritime, construction, residential and commercial equipment, automotive equipment, furniture, athletic products, coatings, sealants and adhesives.

During UTECH Las Américas , the vocation of Mexico as the fourth most important world market for polyurethane was endorsed , after China, the United States and Germany, due to the presence of important industry poles, especially automotive, construction, aerospace, footwear, furniture, electrical appliances and refrigeration systems.
