HNI, a company of North American origin, announced an investment of 106 million dollars to open a manufacturing plant in Coahuila, where it will mainly manufacture office chairs.
This project represents a direct generation of 1,200 jobs for the company and will begin operations this year.
Max Sánchezarmas Alvelais, director of HNI, said that the help of state authorities to find solutions to all their concerns was a determining factor in choosing Coahuila as the destination for their investment.
The arrival of the company, which will be located in the Mencorsa Industrial Park, in the municipality of Arteaga, is intended to meet the growing demand for its products in neighboring countries to the north.
In this sense, the manager highlighted the privileged location that Coahuila has with the United States border and affirmed that the commercial relationship will be consolidated over the years.
"Coahuila's workforce and its value chain are two capital gains that the entity has and that will benefit us to meet the demands of the furniture industry," he concluded.
