Grupo Jumex expands its operations in the State of Mexico

With the intention of strengthening the logistics processing and distribution capacity, Grupo Jumex announced that it will build a new intelligent warehouse within the installed plant in Tulpetlac, Ecatepec.
Through this project, storage capacity will be increased by 80%, achieving placement flows of up to 275 pallets per hour.
This announcement was made known by executives of Grupo Jumex and Alfredo Del Mazo Maza, Governor of the State of Mexico, who indicated that this project will conclude in two years, and will involve technical teams from various countries.
In addition, the company in the food and beverage sector will be generating up to 400 jobs, incorporating more than 150 suppliers in its various planning, construction and implementation phases.
“We had a meeting with the directors of @OficialJumex to talk about their new project, the #Ecatepec Master Distribution Center II. It will be their largest and most important warehouse in the country, from where they will export to 44 countries abroad and 500,000 points of sale in Mexico," the governor wrote on his social media.
It should be noted that this Mexican company has more than 6,500 employees, six plants and 10 regional distribution centers, which makes Jumex the national leader in the beverage market.
He added that the food industry has found an ally in the State of Mexico that has allowed it to take advantage of various advantages such as having one of the most robust communications infrastructures in the country and direct access to one of the largest markets in North America.
He said that the dynamics of this sector, added to the characteristics offered by the State of Mexico, has allowed the food industry to have an average annual growth of 3.6% in recent years, positioning the State of Mexico in the first national place in economic units of this sector with more than 28,600, which represent 13.2% of the total.
Present at this announcement were Jumex Group : Salvi Folch Viadero, CEO; Miguel Ángel Autrique Benassini, General Director of Operations; Amparo Martínez Ruiz, legal and compliance director; and Roberto Fernández Bravo, director of engineering and projects.
