Fisher Dynamics strengthens its presence in Tamaulipas by investing 30 million dollars

The company Fisher Dynamics , a specialist in the production of automotive parts, will invest around 30 million dollars for a second manufacturing plant in the city of Matamoros , Tamaulipas, which will directly employ up to 1,400 people.

This plant is expected to start operations as of 2024, will have 104,000 square feet and will be located within the Las Ventanas Industrial Park.

In an interview for Mexico Industry , Miguel González Oropeza, general manager of the company in the city of Matamoros, explained that it is an expansion, since Fisher Dynamics has maintained a presence in this city for more than 25 years with 1,450 employees. The company produces advanced lightweight, multi-function split, multi-function rear, multi-function seat, fold-flat seat and front seat frames, as well as recliner mechanisms, track systems, latches and height adjusters.

Among its main clients are leading brands in the automotive industry such as General Motors, Ford  and Mercedes Benz .

"In Matamoros, the ideal site for expansion was found, with many positive aspects that guaranteed success, from the qualified workforce that guarantees high levels of production, quality and of course an excellent logistical location, which contributes to the reception of materials cousins; Other parks were visited, but this city was more outstanding”, mentioned González Oropeza.

With this expansion, the company's presence in the world is consolidated, which, in addition to Mexico, includes countries such as China, India, Germany and the United States where it has its central operation. " The projection is that the building can be delivered by the end of 2023 and that pilot tests begin in 2024, so that production lines can be opened before the end of the first half of that year," concluded the general manager in Matamoros .
