Ternium held the fifth edition of the Ternium ProPymes 2025 Meeting, highlighting its impact on industrial competitiveness and supply chain integration.

Ternium CEO Máximo Vedoya emphasized the participation of more than 1,100 SMEs in the event, part of the 5,700 that make up the company’s value chain nationwide. He noted that 89% of Ternium's suppliers are SMEs, accounting for 60% of its purchases and 46% of its sales.

Vedoya stated that the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) is "the most effective shield to recover manufacturing, grow employment, and increase added value, which had been lost for over 20 years due to China’s unfair trade practices."

During the event, 15 SMEs were recognized for their innovation and performance, with the SME of the Year award presented to Abastecedora Industrial AGDC for its outstanding work in manufacturing industrial components and replacing imports.

Through Ternium ProPymes, over $94 million in productive investment has been generated, replacing more than $3.5 million in annual imports.

Since its inception nearly 20 years ago, Ternium ProPymes has strengthened the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in Mexico, fostering a robust and sustainable industrial ecosystem. Its development model has led to a cumulative investment of over $97.5 million and contributed to the creation of 77,000 jobs across the country, positioning itself as a benchmark in national industrial growth.

The event was attended by industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and government officials, including Samuel García Sepúlveda, Governor of Nuevo León; Máximo Vedoya, CEO of Ternium; César Jiménez, Executive President of Ternium Mexico; and Judith Garza, Institutional Director of Ternium Mexico.
