Construction Commences: Viakable's Multipak Plant Takes Shape in Durango

Viakable, a Xignux Company, Invests Over $7 Million in State-of-the-Art Multipak Plant in Durango

Viakable, a subsidiary of Xignux, has invested over $7 million in the construction of its new Multipak plant in Durango. This state-of-the-art facility will specialize in manufacturing wooden packaging components for the cable industry and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

The Multipak plant, located in the Industrial Logistics Center Durango on a sprawling five-hectare site, is set to be operational by late 2024. Juan Ignacio Garza Herrera, CEO of Xignux, announced that the facility will create over 300 direct and indirect jobs and is expected to increase reel and pallet production by 30%.

Governor Esteban Villegas Villarreal expressed his commitment to creating favorable conditions for further economic growth in Durango, stating, "We will continue to create the conditions for more companies to see Durango as a conducive environment for growth."

The new plant will operate under the highest standards in labor, environmental, and safety practices.
