July 2, 2018
In the past few months, the interest of Chinese companies to invest in the Bajio has grown, “dozens of representatives from Chinese companies that have the intention of investing in the area, have contacted us to request information about the different industrial parks; among them are second and third suppliers of the automotive industry, of some assemblers or services providers to assembler factories,” said Octavio Corona, president of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China for Chapter Bajio, many of them come with the objective of being established in the Bajio, and the areas in which they are interested on are Queretaro, Silao, Inland Port, Celaya and Irapuato.
The chamber is focused on generating projects, currently they are working in the opening of a business center, seeking to be the first link of the entire Chinese company interested in being established in the region, offering a complete service, which includes the advisory in seeking industrial parks or offices, providing complete attention in Chinese, without the need of them being members of the Chamber, creating this linkage with technical advisory by adding an infrastructure support at office level.
Corona announced that in October will be held a series of conferences, aimed to attract new projects to increase investment in the area; likewise, he talked about recent action applied in export issues: “Regardless of what happens with the NAFTA, Mexico and China will always be doing business, due to the strategic geographical position and to the economic area on each country, it is mandatory that Mexican companies sooner or later go to China to invest and that Chinese or Asian companies come to our countries to regionally expand, this has been happening for some years now, and we can see it in the increase of Chinese investments and mainly in delegations that come to the Bajio areas; they are increasing since there is great interest on both sides,” said Octavio Corona.
THE DEMAND FOR INTERPRETERS INCREASES

the industrial sector is the purchase of Chinese machinery, which are sent with
expert Asian engineers in its the management, who request the support of the
Chamber seeking interpreters that help them in the installation and startup of
machinery and equipment, as part of the creation of new production lines in its
facilities.
