Chihuahua attracts 52 new investments

The state of Chihuahua has attracted 52 new investment projects , thus generating 35,000 jobs for the next five years, explained MarÃa Angélica Granados Trespalacios, head of the Secretariat for Innovation and Economic Development.
In addition, he highlighted that more than 26,000 micro, small and medium-sized companies were supported. Granados Trespalacios spoke about the implementation of the investment promotion and attraction strategy, which is structured based on the eight guiding axes:
- Electromobility.
- Aerospace.
- Semiconductors.
- Logistics.
- Mining.
- Bioeconomy.
- Low carbon economy.
He explained that to date some programs are already underway, such as e-Mobility Ready Chihuahua , in alliance with Michigan; collaboration with Chihuahua Global, a public-private platform for attracting investment to the entity, and the state's participation in international fairs and events. In addition, he reported that the Industrial Atlas , carried out with UNIDO and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , positioned Chihuahua as the main aerospace corridor in the country.
The head of the SIDE also detailed that as of July 2022, 26,000 economic units benefited, of which more than 2,000 are new companies that have generated more than 6,300 formal jobs and an investment of 20 million pesos. The foregoing through the offices of the Rapid Business Opening System, training programs, opening of cooperatives and financing for participation in local and national sales exhibitions, as well as the opening of the digital market, through collaboration with Mercado Libre and Chihuahua Market.
Regarding technological development strategies, the secretary spoke about alliances with the productive sector, academia, technical colleges, innovation centers and high-tech centers, which have made it possible to strengthen the development of talent and attract investment. . In addition, the SPARK project was reactivated and the Talent Forums were consolidated to link efforts in designing educational plans based on the future of industry and work.
