Bosch will build the first BSH home appliances plant in Mexico; will invest 260 million dollars

Bosch announced that Grupo BSH will expand its global production network and build its first factory in Mexico.
The leading manufacturer of household appliances in Europe will invest more than 260 million dollars to expand its business in the American continent.
Carla Kriwet, CEO of Grupo BSH Electrodomesticos , declared that the new plant will become a strategic pillar for the entire global production network , and with this new injection of capital, they seek to support and expand the business in the American continent.
For his part, René Schlegel, president of Bosch Mexico , stated that the country has an excellent infrastructure for its installation , as well as a wide network of developed suppliers , qualified and specialized labor , for which the region becomes a good place to start this project.
The construction of this factory will be in Monterrey, Nuevo León , and will begin in the summer of 2022 and production will begin in 2024 , with a plant designed to generate up to 600,000 units each year and will create around 1,500 jobs .
The refrigeration appliances to be produced are specifically tailored to the storage capacity needs of consumers in the North American market.
Michael Neumann, designated as the technical leader of BSH in Mexico, assured that with the new factory they will meet the high standards of sustainability and efficiency, not only in the construction and materials that they will use, but also in the operations of the entire manufacturing complex.
“In Monterrey, we have all the necessary conditions to operate a plant that sets a new standard. We are committed to supporting local development”, he concluded.
BSH Hausgeräte GmbH is a world leader in the household appliance sector, having a total turnover of around €13.9 billion and 60,000 employees in 2020.
The company's brand portfolio includes eleven appliance firms such as Bosch , Siemens , Gaggenau and Neff , as well as Home Connect and Kitchen Stories . It should be noted that BSH has 39 factories and is represented in some 50 countries around the world ; and is part of the Bosch Group .
