With the great growth that Coahuila is experiencing with the emergence of the electric vehicle cluster, companies in the automotive sector continue to advance in their transition to electromobility, adapting their new products and processes to this new trend.

One of them is Borgwarner , a company of American origin and one of the most reliable Tier 1 companies in the world for the sector, which has been working hard to achieve this purpose.

In the last three months alone, the company has invested more than $100 million in the state to transform its production processes.

Xavier Galindo Valdés, director of human resources at Borgwarner , commented that, due to the specialization in their processes, the complex located in the Santa María industrial park, in the municipality of Ramos Arizpe, was the one they chose for the implementation of a totally electric.

"This project will consist of manufacturing cooling plates for electric car batteries, which optimizes the operation of electrical units."

For this, they invested the amount of 54 million dollars and, in this way, they will employ 280 additional people than they already had.

Likewise, the manager said that this has been achieved thanks to the community that they have formed with their collaborators, for which he highlighted that in the last seven years they have been certified as a socially responsible company and have also registered nine years in a row as one of the best places to work.

He added that some of the products that are also manufactured on this campus are turbochargers, exhaust gas management systems and induction coils for light and heavy vehicles.

Galindo Valdés concluded that the support of the authorities has been vital for the company to consolidate in the entity and for this reason he assured them that they can continue to count on Borgwarner to continue generating quality and well-paid jobs.
