Bed Bath & Beyond opens its 12th store in Querétaro; invest 60 million pesos

Bed Bath & Beyond opened the doors of its store number 12 in Querétaro , in which they invested 60 million pesos . The opening represents the creation of 35 direct and 40 indirect jobs.
In an interview, Sergio Gutiérrez Osuna , general director of the self-service chain, highlighted the conditions that led them to decide on this state to open their most recent location.
“We are very excited to be here. Querétaro has the characteristics of being a growing city, with investment, jobs, new houses, construction, and that is what we are dedicated to, helping people to have a better organized, more beautiful, and more efficient home,” he said. .
The home goods retailer arrived in Mexico in 2013 and currently has stores in Mexico City (Del Valle, Gran Sur, Santa Fe); State of Mexico (Interlomas, Metepec, Satellite); Guadalajara Jalisco; Puebla, Puebla; Morelia, Michoacan; Cuernavaca, Morelos; and Monterrey, Nuevo Leon .
Gutiérrez Osuna announced that this year two more branches will be added, whose locations have been reserved.
"We have interesting growth that encourages us to make this type of investment," added the interviewee.
Bed Bath & Beyond Querétaro will join the omnichannel strategy that consists of physical and online stores , presence in marketplaces such as Cornershop and Rappi , Secure and Contactless Delivery services , as well as sales via WhatsApp . The Bed Bath and Beyond app is added to these channels .
Jorge Aceves , senior director of purchases and supply chains of this company, considered that the presence in Querétaro is a symbol of the acceptance of the brand in the Mexican market.
“We are proud to have the preference of more and more people. We know that in this store all the people of Querétaro and surrounding states will find a space with products to let their imagination fly and turn any space into a place that makes them feel comfortable and fulfilled. This new store will also have our price guarantee, this means that if a customer finds a product from our catalog at a better price elsewhere, we will match it”.

The opening event was attended by Mauricio Kuri González , governor of the state of Querétaro ; Luis Nava, municipal president of the Queretaro capital; and Óscar Gómez Niembro , general director of the State System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF), who received a representative check for 271,142 pesos from Bed Bath & Beyond Querétaro.
The amount will be delivered in kind to the local DIF , with the aim of improving the quality of life of those who need it.
