American Industries Expands in Guanajuato with New Industrial Facility in León

American Industries invests $17M in a new industrial building in León, reinforcing Guanajuato’s appeal as a hub for global manufacturing operations.

American Industries has inaugurated a new industrial building within the Inventario II project in León, Guanajuato, representing a $17 million USD investment that strengthens the state's position as an attractive destination for international companies. This milestone marks a strategic step in the expansion of the Mexican firm, which specializes in industrial real estate solutions and shelter services for foreign manufacturers.

Nearly 50 Years Supporting Foreign Investment in Mexico

Founded in 1976, American Industries has helped more than 250 international companies establish operations in Mexico. The company operates in over 15 industrial parks across five states, with a portfolio of 140+ developed buildings, supporting a network of over 20,000 jobs. It has played a key role in attracting manufacturing investments, particularly in the automotive, aerospace, and logistics sectors.

Luis Lara Cruz, Co-President and CEO of American Industries, emphasized the company’s commitment to equal opportunity, noting that 60% of its Guanajuato workforce is made up of women, and that four of its six regional offices are led by women.

American Industries began investing in León in 2019, and to date, has committed $60 million USD to the region—demonstrating its long-term trust in Guanajuato’s competitive environment and legal certainty for industrial development. Guanajuato: A Prime Destination for Industrial Investment

At the inauguration ceremony, Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo highlighted that Guanajuato continues to position itself as one of the top investment destinations in Mexico. In the first nine months of her administration, the state has announced 25 new investment projects, totaling $2.4 billion USD and promising over 7,000 new jobs.

“Now more than ever, companies seek certainty—and Guanajuato is committed to offering a reliable environment for investment,” the governor affirmed. She also emphasized how projects like this one generate new opportunities for families across the state.
