Industrial real estate developer VYNMSA has inaugurated a new industrial park in Torreón, Coahuila, representing an investment of approximately 800 million MXN ($40+ million USD). Designed to expand available inventory for logistics and advanced manufacturing across the La Laguna region, the master-planned development will feature 12 industrial buildings upon completion.
Phased Infrastructure and Immediate Capacity
The complex opens with four fully completed industrial buildings out of the 12 planned facilities, according to Mario Chapa del Campo, CEO of VYNMSA.
The remaining eight buildings will be constructed progressively to maintain a steady inventory of speculative and build-to-suit spaces for new market entrants and existing regional players scaling up operations.
"This project is more than hectares, buildings, and infrastructure; it is confidence in Torreón, in Coahuila, and in its people," stated Chapa del Campo during the launch event.
Luis Olivares Martínez, Secretary of Economy for Coahuila, emphasized that the new park delivers strategic physical capacity to strengthen La Laguna's industrial ecosystem and accommodate high-value supply chains.
Coahuila Anticipates Wave of New Investments for La Laguna
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Coahuila Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas noted that the $800M MXN capital deployment serves as a major catalyst for direct job creation and regional competitiveness. He also hinted at incoming corporate commitments for the area in the coming weeks.
Key factors positioning Torreón and La Laguna as attractive investment destinations include:
- Labor & Talent: A skilled technical workforce backed by strong labor stability.
- Security & Rule of Law: Safety metrics and clear legal frameworks for long-term capital protection.
- Logistics & Services: Strategic connectivity to northern trade corridors and reliable utility infrastructure.
By increasing high-spec industrial footprint in Torreón, VYNMSA's investment equips La Laguna to capitalize on nearshoring opportunities and rising cross-border manufacturing demand.
