Mexican heavy equipment and trailer manufacturer Volteos México (VOLMEX) has announced the construction of a new production facility in Jesús María, Aguascalientes. Designed to substantially increase manufacturing output for dump bodies, semi-trailers, and heavy-duty transport equipment, the project marks a pivotal expansion step for the local company.
Scaling Production and Geographic Reach
The new facility in Jesús María will directly boost VOLMEX's operational bandwidth to meet rising freight and heavy-haul demands. Beyond reinforcing its domestic market position, the expansion anchors a broader export strategy targeted at three key markets: Mexico, maintaining core supply for domestic logistics and construction fleets, Central America, scaling established regional distribution networks, and United States, entering new commercial territories to export Aguascalientes-engineered heavy transport equipment.
Local Industrial Impact and State Support
The expansion project was officially highlighted by Esaú Garza de Vega, Secretary of Economic Development, Science, and Technology of Aguascalientes (SEDECYT), who emphasized the value of home-grown companies investing in regional industrial ecosystems.
State authorities confirmed ongoing institutional backing for domestic enterprises scaling operations locally, noting that VOLMEX’s new plant will generate direct jobs and strengthen Aguascalientes’ reputation as an advanced manufacturing hub for the automotive and heavy transport sectors.
