Toyota to start 2020 with new releases

Toyota Motors Mexico keeps a solid
growth in Mexico, 2018 was one of the best years as 108,761 unites were
introduced into the market. By sharing the results of the first 7 months of the
year, they announced new releases, as well as an advance of their new plant in
Guanajuato, which will produce the Tacoma model.
Tom Sullivan, president of Toyota Motors
Company, said that 2018 was the best year for the company in the automotive
industry as more than 100,000 units were marketed and remain in the fourth position
of best brands so far.
Likewise, Guillermo Diaz, operations
director, mentioned the satisfaction of the months of work and the importance
of being close to customers. “Seven months have given us many overcome
challenges before an industry with a new dynamic in which have been adapted
little by little. In 2018 we commercialized 108 thousand units, of which 11,498
were hybrid automobiles. As a company, we have the objective of commercializing
5.5 million hybrid units worldwide for 2025 to reduce carbon dioxide emissions
to the atmosphere.”
The Prius model was the first one with
this technology which was massively marketed, with 20 years in the market it is
the consumers’ favorite hybrid. In Mexico, the brand has five hybrid vehicles
which from January to July of the current year has sold 7,500 units, what
approach to their goal of 11,500, as this segment represents 13 % of Toyota’s
sales.
The goal of Toyota Motors Company for
this 2019 exceeds 100,000 units sold, by the end of July 60,000 units have been
commercialized on its 93 sales points nationwide.
