Good
news continue to highlight Tamaulipas industrial market, and it is in Reynosa
where good projects are confirmed which bring economic growth, commercial
opportunities, jobs generation, competitiveness and productivity.
To
the sixth month of 2019, it can be appreciated in retrospective that the
beginning of the year was positive regarding industrial market absorption. Ralph Garcia, vice-president of McAllen
Economic Development Corporation, said about the first project that consisted
in 55 thousand square for Reynosa with a new speculative building built by
ROCA, same in which the work is finished and are about to open the industrial
building for any interested user.
However,
regarding expansion projects, Garcia underlined that three projects are about
to be built in Reynosa; one of them will be located at the west area of the
city and two will be located east.
One
of them represents 140 square feet, a second one will be of 300 thousand square
feet and the third one 150 thousand square feet.
“When
this kind of projects exist, they are fixed projects for a company that will be
settled in the area; they are expansion, but this provides a good indicator of
how commerce is developing in the city,” said Ralph Garcia.
He
added that many brokers coming from other cities, when seeing this kind of
movements or projects in the area generates promotion interest, this is a good
opportunity to see how to promote the growth of the city and which are the
services industrial parks offer which improve every day.
Ralph
Garcia said regarding prospection activity and the work together with
Tamaulipas Government, had a good answer when receiving Taiwanese companies
directives, as well as from Europe.
“Although,
activity has currently lower a little, and I think is due to what is happening
at the border between Mexico and the United States, which causes uncertainty
among investors,” said Garcia.
