Thailand interested on investing in San Luis Potosi

Given the interest for the State, before the growth registered in the last years in the automotive sector; the ambassador of Thailand in Mexico, Rommanee Kananurak, visited San Luis Potosi aiming to consolidate the commercial and industrial exchange. The ones in charge of this trip were the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology in San Luis Potosi A.C. (COMCE SLP,) which seeks strengthening diplomatic and commercial ties.
“We are here learning about the economic opportunities of San Luis, in order to promote Mexico in the business sector of Thailand,” said Rommanee Kananurak.
The Asian diplomat showed great interest in the entity, due to it is located in a strategic point of the country, in addition, of its proximity with the border and ports. Therefore he said this is a great advantage for a Thai company investing in San Luis Potosi.
“Thai companies send us to fulfill detailed studies, especially in comparison with different States, and we are focusing in the Bajio because we are a good option in automotive investment in Mexico,” he noted.
During her stay, the also president of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, had a meeting with the State governor, Juan Manuel Carreras; with whom she said that it is important having the support of the entity and its experience in the industrial development, since there is a strong presence of companies that export, mainly parts for the automotive industry.
In addition, she visited the Automotive Cluster San Luis, gathered with CANACINTRA SLP businessmen, and held a business meeting at the WTC Industrial Park, to know the benefits their facilities have.
“We have visited several industrial parks in
other States, here I see that there is an advantage in transportation, is
modern and San Luis can be considered for this advantages,” Rommanee Kananurak
ended.
