SEDECO SLP: Chinese company will be settled in the entity

For the second semester of 2019, a Chinese company will settle in San Luis Potosi investing about 10,000,000 dollars on a first stage, this was announced by Gustavo Puente Orozco, secretary of Economic Development (SEDECO SLP,) who said that, for now, the name of the company will not be revealed until investors made the official announcement.
The company anticipates to formally begin operations in October, the plant will be equipped with machinery brought from China that will be arriving in August.
At the beginning they will be offering between 100 and 150 direct jobs, therefore they will be training the personnel and before the official startup they will fulfill production testing.
“The important thing of an Asian company like this one is what it brings with it, it is not only about it, but it also brings other customers and suppliers, in addition they are quoting on the stock exchange and are partners in a very important Japanese company,” said Gustavo Puente.
The head of SEDECO SLP said that the company will supply the automotive industry, since it mainly dedicates to the manufacturing of tubes and pipes implemented in vehicle refrigeration process, this aluminum pipes serve to cool some car parts.
On a second stage, the company is planning to make the business grow in the entity and manufacture lock washers and aluminum packaging, same that will be held by the end of 2021.
Finally, Gustavo Puente said that San Luis Potosi currently has an important portfolio of projects and of companies that are choosing the entity to settle in Mexico.
“Among these companies is a very particular niche of Chinese companies that have been called in an important manner, mainly, of light vehicles assembler companies,” he said.
