They began operations
in 2006, in a small office, with six employees in total. Back then they only made local customs
declarations. However, today SACSA is
not only a customs broker; it is an entire conglomerate specialized in foreign
trade with 150 employees and two companies that complement their services. In exclusive interview with Mexico Industry,
Josue German Roman Lopez, general deputy director of SACSA, shared the new
project that will lead the company to have national presence.
SACSA is a customs
broker that provides comprehensive solutions in foreign trade operations. They offer customs broker services in Mexico
and the United States; warehouses in El Paso, Texas, and logistics; advisory in
customs and fiscal issues; and training.
They look for customers
pay less taxes and avoid fines for fulfilling incorrect operations.
Nevertheless, this
company will complete its services with two partner companies: NIA
International Systems and TBL Trade Border Logistics.
The first company, NIA
International Systems, specializes in making foreign trade software and custom
software. According to Josue Roman, a software
company without knowing foreign trade cannot develop suitable programs.
SACSA customers will
see benefits by having customized software which takes into account foreign
trade aspects that will facilitate their daily processes.
The second company, TBL
Trade Border Logistics, is dedicated to logistics. It will have storerooms and warehouses at El
Paso, Texas and Cd. Juarez. It has more
than 500 square feet and IMMEX programs for foreign companies that are willing
to develop in Mexico. This is known as
“soft landing.”
“These companies do not
have to be legally built. They start
with a shelter, then they settle as formal companies,” explained Josue Roman.
For companies requiring
these services, they can benefit from customs services and of foreign trade
that offers SACSA, in addition of TBL.
This entire set,
according with the deputy director, will be the forefront to stop being a local
agency and become one that can provide service to any customs in the country.
This new project
started in 2017, with the opening of Laredo, and continued in 2018 with the
maritime ports, and will be finished in 2019 in Queretaro and El Bajio.
Once the company is
settled nationally, they will seek to establish a company of logistics,
distribution and storage 3PL.
In total, SACSA and its
partner companies have four warehouses and five subsidiaries.
It is important
mentioning that warehouses are CTPAT certified, which is a safety American
certification.
SACSA is also an
Authorized Economic Operator (AEO,) which is a certification issued by SAT.
“Of the 900 customs
brokers in the country, 100 are AEO,” said Josue Roman.
The deputy director
also explained that the company’s personnel is highly qualified, since they
receive continuous training, due to safety certifications regarding external
risks, environmental and any kind of contingency that could be present.
Finally, Josue Roman underlined the commitment they have with customers. “Our motto is total trust with customers; make them feel that their operations are safe in our hands.”
SACSA’s Mission
To provide our customers a comprehensive solution with excellence in their foreign trade operations, supported in technology and mainly in the integrity and professionalism of our people.
