Robert Bosch México Sistemas Automotrices bets on SLP for growth

The San Luis Potosi governor, Juan Manuel Carreras,
met with Uwe Gackstatter, president of Bosch Diesel Systems Division; at the
meeting, held at the facilities of Bosch Powertrain Solutions, located in Stuttgart,
Germany; the leader and the businessman exchanged impressions about the
company’s long and short term plans.
One of the cutting-edge plants of Grupo Bosch in
Mexico, Robert Bosch Mexico Sistemas Automotrices, is located in San Luis
Potosi, the only one in America where high technology level automotive pieces
are manufactured.
The German plant is working to be positioned as one of
the most important companies supplying fuel injection systems, to achieve this;
within their action plans are to expand the production lines, building a
logistic center and a development center.
With this, they will increase their workforce by
offering 2 thousand new job sources, from which 250 will be hiring Mexican engineers;
all this is projected to be developed in the next four years. Currently the German company employs more
than 2,600 workers in San Luis Potosi.
In addition, they met with members of the Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH Foundation, which promotes initiatives oriented to youth comprehensive development worldwide. Joachim Rogall, president and CEO of the Robert Bosch foundation and Cyrus Amini, director of Government Affairs, presented the programs and actions of social approach being developed in this institution, among which highlight the scholar breakfasts schemes and community dinners.
After achieving record results in 2017, Grupo
Bosch anticipates that their incomes for sales grow between 2 % and 3 % in
2018, what points to that next year it will have greater growth. Only in the first three months of this year,
incomes per sales generated by the company equaled the high level of the same
period the year before, and even it increased about 5 %.
