PROMA will invest 130 million pesos to build a plant in Guanajuato

Grupo PROMA confirmed that it will invest 130 million pesos for the construction of a plant in the San Miguel de Allende Industrial Park ; It will be the second in Mexico, the first is located in Saltillo, Coahuila.
The Italian company that manufactures automotive components , which is specialized in the development and manufacture of structures and mechanisms for seats, body assemblies and front suspension cross members, will be generating more than 250 direct and indirect jobs for this project .
This announcement was made known by Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, governor of Guanajuato, during his 2021 Investment Attraction Tour in Europe.
“We are very pleased to announce this great investment that will be of more than 130 million pesos that will generate more than 250 direct and indirect jobs. It is one more link to strengthen our automotive industry chain ”, he said.
The plant in Guanajuato will serve the North American market, particularly the Volkswage n plant in Chattanooga, United States, with structures for the rear seats of electric vehicles .
Its first stage will be 4,000 square meters , and in the following two phases it could expand 4,000 more in each one of them, to reach 12,000 square meters in total; Therefore, it is projected to start operations in 2022.
Luca Pino, Vice President of PROMA Group, commented that the arrival of the company to this region will contribute to the economy of the area with the generation of jobs, in addition, it is a priority for the company to comply with the standards of occupational safety, quality of its products and it is friendly with the environment.
