PILBA opens its industrial park in Leon

Pilba Industrial Park was officially opened, which has eight plants operating, among them Michelin and four more in the construction process, most of these investments are of the automotive sector.

Patricio Gutierrez, operations director of Artha Capital and general director of Frontier Industrial, said that this park has a capability to house 40 companies, same that will generate more than 5 thousand jobs in the upcoming years.

The park occupies a total space of 434 hectares in total, of which 200 hectares have been sold, nevertheless, companies could not be received which occupy different spaces, he exemplifies Michelin which occupies 120 hectares, therefore, the space of the park is available for the needs required by the industry.

The construction of the park is divided into three phases and has an investment of 96 million dollars, generating more than 5 thousand direct jobs.

This park houses areas intended to big and small industrial areas, as well as areas for service users’ support and of recreation, first level infrastructure as concrete roads, water treatment plant, electric substation of 30 Megas, central firefighting system, in addition of having controlled access, which generates an environment of safety for all its users.

“Something important is that the park has been developed with an approach of social and environmental responsibility, in compliance with the industrial park's standards, of the safe park and all corresponding environmental ones.  It will have a good neighboring program working closer with adjoining communities and this be able to participate brought by this new investment,” said Patricio Gutierrez.

PROJECTION AND MODERNITY

This park has growth and consolidation projection at 10 years, it will be considered one of the most modern and innovative on its kind, as it will have different services on its interior will be not only for the business community but for all adjacent communities.

Due to its strategic location and excellent connectivity PILBA park is a growth engine for the municipality of Leon and Guanajuato.  We are investing in industrial buildings development for leasing, the first building is available and more will be coming, developing a minimum of 30 thousand square leasable meters per year, while the market allows it,” said Patricio Gutierrez.

Moreover, through Trans Power, Artha Capital and Frontier Industrial will invest in a solar-photovoltaic project of 90 megawatts, located in the municipality of San Luis de la Paz, with an investment of more than 100 million dollars, which will begin operations by the end of this year.
