Grupo Motomex  announced a new expansion project in San Luis Potosí, in which it will invest 200 million pesos .

The company dedicated to the motorcycling industry has been present in San Luis Potosí since 2015 in the distribution center (Cedis) located in the World Trade Center Industrial Park .

In the state, the company is divided into two areas: national and fiscal area , from which it supplies motorcycles, spare parts and accessories to more than 2,000 points of sale throughout the country. For six years, Kontar SA de CV was also established , a company dedicated to providing import and logistics services to third parties in the tax area.

Carlos Martínez-Ábrego Martínez, deputy general director of Grupo Motomex, explained that the project contemplates the expansion of the CEDIS  in 26,500 square meters , of which 16,500 correspond to the fiscal area and 10,000 square meters to the national warehouse, which will result in 50 jobs direct and 123 indirect.

In addition, Grupo Motomex is analyzing the possibility of moving the Mahindra assembly plant currently installed in Aguascalientes to the WTC in San Luis Potosí, for which it would dedicate 5,000 square meters of the new expansion. This company has more than 75 years of legacy and 250,000 employees around the world.

In the announcement, the Secretary of Economic Development, the Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare, executives of Grupo Motomex , the commercial director of Kawasaki Mexico , the general director of the Pro San Luis Agency and executives of the WTC SLP industrial park were present.
