Metal Technologies will invest 528 million pesos in San Luis Potosí

The plant that manufactures gray and nodular iron parts for the automotive, tractor-trailer and agricultural applications market, Metal Technologies , announced that they will begin with the construction of their second phase in San Luis Potosí, and in which they will invest about 528 million pesos .

Located in the Word Trade Center 2 Industrial Park , in the municipality of Villa de Reyes, it will contribute to the generation of jobs and will strengthen actions in favor of economic reactivation.

Currently the capacity of the plant is 30,000 metric tons per year , and once the expansion project is completed, the capacity will reach 65,000 metric tons .

Matthew Fetter, President and CEO of Metal Technologies, indicated that the main product applications supported for the new project include caliper housings and anchor brackets for braking systems , as well as other ductile iron castings for the automotive markets, of medium and heavy trucks, agricultural and household appliances .

The president met with Juan Manuel Carreras, governor of the State, to give the official announcement, and they pointed out that in total the US capital company, -in its first and second stages-, have invested a total of 93.4 million euros in the entity. Dollars. 

Gustavo Puente Orozco, Secretary of Economic Development, said that the expansion of Metal Technologies will generate more than 175 direct jobs.
