Medline Industries announces $ 50 million investment in Mexicali

Medline Industries, Inc. announced a new investment of 50 million dollars to expand its company in Mexicali, Baja California. 

This new project in Mexico consists of strengthening the supply chain, by having the installed capacity to process sterile trays for other companies within the region.

With this investment, the surgical kit manufacturing company will generate just over 50 direct jobs and around 150 indirect jobs in its first phase. It should be noted that the expansion process was scheduled for early 2020, but due to the health contingency caused by Covid-19, the company had to postpone the plan.

The announcement was attended by Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, municipal president of Mexicali, who met with the directors of the medical products company in order to follow up on the work of linking with the industrial sector of the city.

He also took a tour of the Medline plant facilities to learn about the production process and the company's short-term growth plans.

Also present at the meeting were Alfonso Vildósola, coordinator of the Economic Development of Mexicali; Guillermo Salcedo, Director of Medline Operations; Marco Kuljacha, vice president of Prodensa operations and Víctor Delgado, president of index Mexicali.

Medline Industries, Inc. is an American company that focuses on creating products for the health sector, becoming the largest manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies , offering products, training, clinical programs and care services to its customers.
