The year 2024 marked a historic milestone for Mazda Mexico since its arrival in the country. The automaker recorded sales of 8,677 units in December (19% more than the same month in the previous year), bringing the total for 2024 to 99,797 units—its best year of sales ever.
According to the data, Mazda posted a 31% annual growth in sales, resulting in a 6.7% annual market share.
These results at a global level positioned Mazda Mexico as the third most important market in terms of sales volume among the more than 120 countries where the brand operates.
Strengthening Its Presence
Mazda currently has a robust network of 73 dealerships across the country. Additionally, 13 Collision Centers, strategically located in key states, ensure comprehensive after-sales support.
In Mexico, Mazda operates a manufacturing plant in Salamanca, Guanajuato, where 209,303 units were produced in 2024, making it the year with the highest annual production volume in the company's history.
"While 2025 presents challenges in various aspects, it is important to remember how much we have achieved since the beginning of our brand. Despite adversities, with our efforts, we will ensure that the Mazda spirit lives on for many years to come, achieving the impossible together," said Miguel Barbeyto, President of Mazda Mexico.
This year, Mazda Mexico will celebrate its 20th anniversary in the country.
“This milestone also marks 20 years of my career in this company. Along with a small group, I helped inaugurate the first offices. That handful of people not only believed in Mazda but also in the team we were—a few, but determined to accomplish what no one thought possible. Today, almost 20 years later, we have broken sales records in Mexico and positioned ourselves as one of the most important brands. I am grateful and ready for the challenges ahead,” Barbeyto concluded.
