LS Automotive laid new plant foundation stone
The Korean company LS Automotive (LSAT,) celebrated the placement of the foundation Stone of what would be its main industrial plant in Mexico, on a property land of 4 hectares of extension located in the industrial park FINSA Guadalupe, in the state of Nuevo Leon.
The Korean company specializes in the auto-parts industry and among its most important customers in the northern part of the Continent are companies such as KIA Motors, FIAT Chrysler, Hyundai and General Motors.
Today, LS Automotive operates three production plants in South Korea and seven worldwide.
The company is planning using the facilities as base abroad for the North American region, which has showed a larger demand of its products in countries such as Mexico and the United States.
The facilities will have assembly equipment, of injection, processing and automation, aiming to start the mass production in the first half of 2019.
The main items
produced in the new plant will include vehicle control systems such as switch
modules.
Park, with an investment of 40 million dollars and the creation of about one thousand jobs in the upcoming years.

In recent years,
LSAT has redoubled efforts to expand its operations abroad; in addition of the
new facilities in Mexico, LSAT will invest on its productive plant in Pune,
India, as it is one of the main suppliers of spare parts in that country,
providing more than half of final automobiles manufacturers.
