Living Spaces begins operations in Tijuana

In a space of almost 20,000 square meters in the Pacific Industrial Park , the Living Spaces company , one of the main furniture manufacturers in the United States , started operations .

The corporate decided to settle in this border city with  Grupo Tecma , to start operations in Tijuana with a project that includes up to 500 new jobs.

For Antonio Domínguez, vice president of Grupo Tecma, the millionaire investment is not a coincidence, but the product of an analysis of US investors who are looking at an important expansion in Mexico, as they seek to expand their production capacity, mainly to the United States. and Canada.

The balance favored Tijuana due to two main factors, said the manager, one was the experience and trust of allies such as Grupo Tecma, and two, the high quality of the workforce that the city offers.

So Living Spaces began its operations with just over 100 employees already integrated, in a work environment that stands out from the rest, said Antonio Domínguez, since it is one of the 50 best companies to work in Mexico.

“We have, from the start, a bonus of 7,500 pesos for hiring, but also a savings fund for the entrance and dining room; of course, there are also legal benefits such as social security, Infonavit, Christmas bonus, utilities and, after the first contracting phase, we will also have transportation ”, explained Patricia Uribe, manager of Human Resources. 

Now the challenge for Grupo Tecma is to find the best profiles to fill the available vacancies such as shipowners, upholsterers, fillers, as well as administrative and technology positions. 

In this way, Living Spaces joins the more than 30 companies that have chosen the Tecma Group as an ally to carry out their investments in Tijuana, both in the aerospace, electronic and medical device sectors, to name a few.

Finally, Antonio Domínguez stressed that Grupo Tecma serves as a protective dome in charge of caring for and ensuring these investments, since that is its commitment and its motto "You dedicate yourself to produce, we to everything else".
