SAMTECH announced a US$20 million expansion of its operations in León, reinforcing the Bajío region’s auto parts supply chain and generating 30 new jobs. The project underscores continued Asian investment confidence in central Mexico’s manufacturing ecosystem.
The expansion was addressed during a meeting between company executives and municipal authorities led by María Fernanda Rodríguez González, Secretary for Economic Reactivation, and Luz Ángel Minguela González, Director of Investment Attraction. Local officials emphasized that the project strengthens León’s industrial base while creating new employment opportunities.
Strategic Growth in the Auto Parts Sector
Operating at Parque Industrial PILBA since 2017, SAMTECH has consolidated its presence in León as a relevant player within Mexico’s automotive supply network. The expansion enhances installed capacity and reinforces regional integration into global automotive value chains.
Municipal authorities reiterated their commitment to supporting business growth through infrastructure development, skilled workforce availability, and reliable access to strategic services such as electricity and water—factors that directly influence the competitiveness and long-term viability of foreign investment projects.
Strengthening León’s Manufacturing Platform
The SAMTECH project aligns with León’s broader investment attraction strategy aimed at diversifying its productive base while reinforcing its manufacturing vocation. By expanding automotive component production, the company contributes to the region’s industrial dynamism and integration into global supply chains.
With this announcement, León continues to position itself as a reliable destination for productive investment, supported by operational certainty and institutional collaboration that enable sustained business growth and formal job creation.
